Because the paper ballots were so time consuming, I generally only voted once, resisting the urge to "stuff the ballot box."
Now, because the voting is done on-line, a person can vote for their players of choice 25 times in less than five minutes. I know this, because I did it in four minutes and fifteen seconds. I didn't do it to cheat, but rather to keep up. Why should someone else get to vote for their guy 25 times to my once. Can you imagine if we used this method to vote in Presidents? The system makes no sense. Only the lazy or the ones who are super busy won't vote the 25 times. It's voting, dare I say, on steroids. Josh Hamilton will blow away the All-time voting record, but it's BS. Joe Morgan and George Brett never played on this playing field. Like Bonds breaking Aaron's homerun record because of alleged steroid use, this is like Hamilton beating the aforementioned stars of the seventies and eighties because of technology advances.
The solution? One vote per email address.
Incredible factoid: RA Dickey, a cast off just a couple of seasons ago, has more wins this season than Cliff Lee, Felix Hernandez, Tim Lincecum, and Roy Halladay combined! Lee, healthy all season, is still waiting for his first win.
